AIM OF THE WORK
THE ORDER OF CARRYING OUT THE WORK
The aim of the work is definition of the electronic temperature in plasma by measurements of relative intensities of atomic lines in emissive spectra.

  1. At first you should get acquaintance with a short theory. There you can find main terms and definitions and also you will have a notion of plasma, conditions of equilibrium and dependence of radiation intensity on the plasma parameters.
  2. Then you should get acquaintance with the method of relative intensities for definition of the temperature of electrons in plasma and principles of choosing spectral lines for experimental definition of temperature.
  3. After that you can go to the description of automatized laboratory unit.
After getting acquaintance with a short theory, Ornshtein’s method and laboratoty unit you can go to the practical part of the laboratory work.
